This bank holiday weekend (August 25th) Keely Sinnott and her partner Mark Phillips will take to the skies to help little Charlotte Nott walk just a few steps. The couple will take part in a skydive to raise funds for the six-year-old who lost all four limbs to meningitis four years ago.

Utilities infrastructure company – Fastflow Group – has broadened its expertise with the acquisition of DW Contractors. The water and gas pipeline specialist, which has its headquarters in Washington, Tyne and Wear added the Oxford based property maintenance and refurbishment business to its operation for an undisclosed sum.

Human skeletons have been discovered during Fastflow Pipeline water main installation works at Seaham in County Durham.

The work, on behalf of Northumbrian Water, is taking place near the entrance to Seaham Hall,  close to the site of the original Seaham village, which has been the subject of several previous archaeological examinations.
