Once again Fastflow Pipeline Services people have been shining at the Northumbrian Water (NWG) GEM (Going the Extra Mile) Awards.

Barry McDonald, Fastflow’s first employee 24 years ago, has been appointed Managing Director of Fastflow Pipeline Services Limited.
The promotion comes after the business secured a water network improvement, repair, reinstatement and meter installation contract worth £270 million.

Fastflow Pipeline Services has been awarded to the internationally-recognised, ISO accredited CEMARS (Certified Emissions Measurement and Reduction Scheme) certification by the Achilles carbon reduction programme.

Northumbrian Water has passed its special thanks onto Fastflow following their rapid response to a major burst in Newcastle that could have resulted in huge disruption to the city centre.

Human skeletons have been discovered during Fastflow Pipeline water main installation works at Seaham in County Durham.

The work, on behalf of Northumbrian Water, is taking place near the entrance to Seaham Hall,  close to the site of the original Seaham village, which has been the subject of several previous archaeological examinations.

The efforts of Fastflow’s owner Neil Armstrong to provide clean water and sanitation to thousands of people in Nepal have received Royal recognition.

The owner and Managing Director of Fastflow and his wife Bridget, explained the reasons behind the project to His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales, at a celebration to mark WaterAid’s 30th anniversary celebration.

Fastflow Pipeline Services has started 2011 as it ended 2010 with another important contract win.

The deal, with Northumbria Water, is worth an estimated £1.3million and will see the company’s award winning trunk mains cleaning system deployed around Ponteland and Gosforth.

Site Trials for Northumbria Water

Following the successful cleaning of 1.06km of 36” steel bitumen lined mains for Northumbrian Water Ltd’s (NWL) Trunk Mains Cleaning Trials in Morpeth in September / October 2007, Fastflow were requested to clean a further 3.63km.
