Arming against the cyber threat

With ever increasing amounts of business now being done online, companies need to be aware of the major threats that disruptive or malevolent hackers can pose.

The importance of highly robust cyber security has never been more critical and our IT team has been working tirelessly – as part of our GDPR compliance procedures - to ensure that our systems and defences are in the best possible shape, to counter potential threats.

These fantastic efforts have not gone without recognition. On the 11th October, Fastflow Group was officially certified under the Government backed Cyber Essentials scheme. This covers all current group businesses for the next year with re-assessment and re-certification carried out annually.

Achieving this latest certification however, does not signify the end of our cyber security journey – but it is an important first milestone.

Cyber threats to our business, employees and customers continue to evolve and as we analyse, identify and protect ourselves from one threat, many more will materialise. We must be continuously alert to these ever evolving threats and to changes in the digital landscape - both at work and at home.

This information security management system is a framework of policies and procedures that includes all legal, physical and technical controls involved in an organisation's information risk management processes. We will continue to monitor our systems, software and hardware to ensure it is up-to-date and secure and have already begun working towards ISO27001 accreditation.

Our employees are kept well briefed on potential threats and we appreciate their  continuing support in keeping our businesses safe by following the ICT procedures and guidelines which we have put in place under our HAWKS programme, Home And Work Keeping Safe to encourage all our employees to stay safe at home as well as the workplace.
